SageMC vs. Stock STV and HD

I have been having awful problems with pauses/start-stops/freezes with the HD-PVR. I recently switched from SageMC to the stock STV. That seems (at least so far) to have fixed those problems. Anyone else have problems with HD in SageMC but not in the stock STV?

During recording or playback? LiveTV? All three?

I have pretty much been running SageMC for almost three weeks and have had zero problems with recording (minus one HD-PVR lock-up two nights ago - also using optical audio), none with playback (except for color calibration), and one minor problem with LiveTV last night where having playback a few seconds behind "live" fixed a small not-so-smooth playback experience. It's possible that was happening during an automated download/uncompress process.

Playback of recordings and live tv. I've been watching live tv on stock STV for more than an hour with no glitches (except the dreaded "pause at the hour" when shows changed).
