Channel only tunes on 2nd try?
The Hauppuage 1600/1800 are behaving oddly when I tune a digital channel. The first time I try viewing a channel it always displays "No Signal". So I hit 'stop' and re watch that channel and it loads fine.
I have the 1600 and 1800, as well as an HD Home Run. I removed all tuners except the 1600 and it still happens. Then I tried just the 1800, and it failed as well. The HD Home Run works fine. This didn't start until I updated to the last SageTV release. This also happens with scheduled recordings. I also scanned all the channels to make sure the frequencies haven't changed. I did notice in the props "broadcast_standard=ATSC", I tried changing to QAM but it keeps changing back... Here's one of the configs: mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/available_channels= mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/brightness=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/contrast=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/device_name= mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/encode_digital_tv_as_program_stream=true mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/hue=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/last_channel=85-0-2 mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/provider_id=2529673206405 mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/saturation=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/sharpness=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/tuning_mode=Cable mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/tuning_plugin= mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/tuning_plugin_port=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/video_crossbar_index=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/100/0/video_crossbar_type=100 mmc/encoders/514453726/audio_capture_device_index=-1 mmc/encoders/514453726/audio_capture_device_name= mmc/encoders/514453726/audio_capture_device_num=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/audio_processor= mmc/encoders/514453726/broadcast_standard=ATSC mmc/encoders/514453726/capture_config=299024 mmc/encoders/514453726/default_device_quality=Fair mmc/encoders/514453726/delay_to_wait_after_tuning= mmc/encoders/514453726/device_class=DirectShow mmc/encoders/514453726/dshow_tv_type= mmc/encoders/514453726/encoder_merit=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/encoding_host= mmc/encoders/514453726/forced_video_storage_path_prefix= mmc/encoders/514453726/last_cross_index=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/last_cross_type=100 mmc/encoders/514453726/live_audio_input= mmc/encoders/514453726/never_stop_encoding=false mmc/encoders/514453726/video_capture_device_name=Hauppauge WinTV 418 TS Capture mmc/encoders/514453726/video_capture_device_num=0 mmc/encoders/514453726/video_encoding_params=Fair mmc/encoders/514453726/video_processor= Last edited by kaseyq; 09-05-2009 at 08:03 PM. |

I don't know if it's related or not, but since my last upgrade to 6.6.2.218, I've been seeing a lot of the "halt detected in recording" messages.
It's happened with an Sapphire 650 (ati 650) and a hauppage 2250. Seems to occur at the start of the recording once or twice, but then records ok. |

Bump - I've spent 2 days now reconfiguring and still can't figure this out. One interesting note though. In the Video Source setup when I view the channel it works fine, but when I goto the guide it won't tune!

I just finished uninstalling and deleting the sagetv server. Then installed an older build, 6.5.8, and reconfigured. I encountered the exact same problem, I'm beginning to think this is a hardware failure, but I confuses me that the source setup preview works fine, but it fails to display in the program guide or when scheduling a recording.
