UPNP Playon stutters like crazy

I've just been round-and-round with Playon trying to figure out why I was getting slow-motion style playback on my HD Theater. I thought it was because my Playon server was on a machine that was on the low end of the specs, but after fighting it a while, I decided to see how it played on my Xbox360. The Xbox360 played the exact same stream without pausing at all.

Has anyone had similar problems or know what might be causing my issue?

Playon does not officially support the HD200 so it is possible it does more "work" to get the videos streaming to the HD200 in a "standard format" whereas because the Xbox360 is officially supported, it may be able to send a less standard format (maybe the native format the video is received in). See the minimum specs below. I would take these as the bare minimum and in fact wouldn't recommend a single core P4 at all.

This is something I was wondering about. Does playon support streaming in the native format? I'm pretty sure the HD200 could play back any format playon could find, and end up with better quality, and less processor work.

It does if it is a "supported device". I don't think the HD200 is for Playon. And that wouldn't help for Netflix which would use Silverlight.

I wonder if there is a config file that could be tweaked to turn something into a 'supported device', or what it would take to get something added if it isn't user-tweakable...

Probably a trip to their forums and/or email to tech support They've been very responsive to my requests in the past. I'd check it out but I barely have a moment to breath these days.
