Under My menu/settings/import stvi= it doesnt see the file
But under My menu/settings/sagetv setup/detailed setup/advanced/manage STVI pluging = it sees the file.

I unzipped it to were tmiranda said to above, I even went in to the sageTv install folder and I see the SMW default file in the Sagetv3 folder.

This plugin works with the default STV only. If you are going to My menu/settings/import stvi= then that means you are using the SageMC STV and not default STV. There is a different plugin if you want to use it with SageMC. Look in the SageMC forum for the thread.

As Gerry said, if the STVi is not listed you did not unzip it to the right directory. You do not unzip the STVi to the SageTV/SageTV directory. You unzip it directly to the directory where the STVi's are stored. See the instructions for the exact location.

Also, even though you had SageMC installed you will need to unzip the SMW for SageMC package to the right place. (Unless you had that installed already as well.)

Is there a way to included recorded movies (not imported movies) as part of Movie Wall?

Regards,
Michael

B,

I look into updating it to include Plucky's latest improvements. I think that includes what you are looking for.

Linux support should be straight foreward.

Any headway on removing the SageMC installation requirement / cleaner install? I've been hesitant on using this on my main client & recommending to others due to this installation step. All your work appreciated - thanks.

Yes, that's also high on the priority list.

tmiranda,

I'm trying to install your port of Sage Movie Wall but unfortunately your link to download Batch Metadata Tools 3.1 is dead. I tried to download the 4.0 beta version (metadata-updater-4.0-beta21.zip ) from the official web site but there is no stvi file in the archive. If someone here be kind enough to attach BMT 3.1 (metadata-updater-3.1.zip) to a message or just send me a valid link I will appreciate. I just can't wait to try this plugin with the default STV.

Thank you.

I have a copy but it's too big to post. PM me your email and I'll send it to you.

tmiranda,

I finally had the time to fully test your SMW port last weekend and Wow! You guys did a very nice work. SageTV is just not the same thing without SMW now.

I had some troubles with version 4.0 installation but I found one of your link to version 4.01 with all the required SageMC files in the same archive, to me this version seem faster and it is so much easier to install.

Just install SMW 4.01, BMT 3.1, BMI 1.0 and Phoenix Fanart 1.7, make sure you import SMW last and your done. I use Dynamic Menu also.

The only problems I have right now is I don't have the black background like I use to have with version 4.0, only the default SageTV blue background. Is there any way to change SMW background to black?

Also, I've try to put the actor images in both places, SageTV3\SageMCE\PLuckyhdSMWScreens\ActorImages and CentralFanartFolder\Actors

I have absolutely no problem to get actor images working with the Phoenix Fanart plugin for the default STV, but not with SMW.

When using SMW with sagetv client I got the circle of death all the time, just navigate from one menu command to another give a 5-15 seconds delay with the circle showing up. Upgrading to 4.01 did improve the lag but it's not enough and I did a clean install of SageTV Client before.

Another problem I have but I think it is more related to bmt is when I try to refresh the imported medias, bmt seems to add or repeat the path in the metadata display title. So instead of having House/Season 4/Episode1 I end up with House/Season 4/House/Season 4/Episode1 which is messing with my
SMW Layout. I've try disabling the "Update .properties when changed" option in webui but it didn't work. I should probably report this in the bmt thread anyway.

Regards.
