Playback Exception, HD-PVR Recording

I have a sage install that's recording off of a single HD-PVR (or at least it's suppose to, but that's for another thread). The other night it started freezing on sage startup on 'loading sage core'. I figured this was as good a time as any to try the latest sage in an attempt to make the HD-PVR not suck.

So I've completely uninstalled sage, installed the V6.6.2 that's on the website today, and run through the install wizzard.

Anytime I try and play back a video that was previously recorded with the HD-PVR I get the playback exception (-4) couldn't render the video. I can play the files through graphedit and TME. With graphedit I can play the files with ffdshow OR TME's decoder for video, in both cases the audio goes through TME->AC3-> output.

I remember reading a fix a while back and tried adding these lines to my .properties file:
videoframe/aac_audio_decoder_filter=ArcSoft Audio Decoder HD
videoframe/ac3_audio_decoder_filter=AC3Filter
videoframe/h264_video_decoder_filter=ArcSoft Video Decoder

No change at all. No matter what decoder I pick in sage it's not playing at all. I didn't expect this that's for sure. It's not the HD-PVR as I'm just trying to play back pre-recorded files. What do I do now? I even let TME download an upgrade that it detected. I'm a little lost as to why everything but sage can play this file back and I know the decoder settings on the computer haven't changed.

Edit: Before someone asks. Yes I've rebooted the computer.

Anything changed on the system recently?

I have no idea if this might help, but anytime (all in the past) that I had rendering problems, it had to do with my choice of codecs and filters, which took some trial and error to get right. When I first began setting up the HDPVR last year, I remember having to remove the Haali spliter, which seemed to be the cause of some instability - I began using Matroska 1.0.2.9 instead, and have had no issues. Also, previous problems I experienced related to rendering in Sage (which would sometimes work and sometimes fail), had to do with my choices in codec combinations (i.e. using Intervideo with PDVD or Arcsoft) - I found that a given combination of codecs could collectively result in what were (for me) intermittent problems. It would seem that if your existing HD recordings playback fine elsewhere (TME/ Graphedit), they should definitely playback just as well in Sage - so your issues has to be only a matter of finding the right settings.

In Sage, I use EVR for rendering, Intervideo (Windvd9) for MPEG2 audio and video, Directshow for MPEG4 playback, and Arcsoft video decoder for h.264. I also have Full Screen Exclusive enabled, and am running the latest Sage and TME installations. With this software/ setting combo, I've been enjoying an absolutely stunning picture in Sage, with zero missed recordings. I also have client software setup exactly the same, and it streams very well, as it does with my new HD200 extender.
