No wireless option in latest firmware update

I just installed the latest firmware (20091026 0) on my HD200 to try and use the wireless option. I swear that when I first got it, the wireless option was there, but since i've upgraded the firmware a couple of times (including to the latest beta) the wireless option has disappeared (or maybe I'm to tired from playing with this cool new toy and I never really saw it ). Anyhow, I got an Encore ENUWI but it is an NX2 version instead of the N (I ordered an N, but they "upgraded" me to the NX2). I'm not sure if it has the same chipset (i.e. supported) or not, but it's either not recognizing the adapter at all or somehow the wireless support has disappeared. The really wierd thing is that I do have an option in Advanced Setup/Customize to Display Wireless signal strength icon and it is set to yes.

I've plugged the adapter into my computer to verify that it works (which it does quite nicely :-)) so I'm wondering if in my playing I've tweeked the HD200 somehow.

I guess my questions are

1) Should I see a wireless selection on the Settings\Network page even if I don't have a valid wireless device plugged in? (I think this might be where I'm confused)

2) Is the Encore ENUWI-NX2 supported or should I contact the company I got it from (Mitronics via Amazon) and ask for the N version or my money back?

Thanks,
Mike Anderson

BTW, LOVE SageTV and am looking forward to playing with it. I've installed it on a test machine until my "real" machine (a Dell XPS 9000) gets here and I can really set it up. Even on my ooooollllllddddd computer, it runs quite well and has been quite simple to use. Just looking for more horsepower and storage when the rest of the toys (gigabit switches for where I've got wires run and an HDHomeRun) arrive.

If no wireless device is recognized, the wireless option will not be shown. I don't know anything about that particular device, so I can't comment on it.

Thanks for the quick response. I've sent an e-mail off to the vendor to see what I need to do to get the N version that I ordered. Looking at the driver files for the NX2, I think it isn't the same chipset which is why it probably doesn't show up.

So I've been checking back on the Sage site for the ENUWI-N adapter and happened to catch the last one so I ordered it. According to the place that I got the NX2 version from, Encore doesn't even make the N version any more so I'm thinking they are going to get scarce. What is the possibility of adding support for additional chipsets or the NX2 version in a future release of the firmware? Is there better place to direct this question?

Thanks again for a great product,
Mike Anderson
