SD material recorded on the HD-PVR - out of sync on Placeshifter

Since getting a Hauppauge HD-PVR, I have been testing all facets of what I used to achieve with the lowly PVR-150. Actually, it isn't that lowly.

Problem: material, either SD or HD, recorded with the HD-PVR, tends to be out of sync when viewed via Placeshifter.

Internet connectivity doesn't seem to matter.

Material originally recorded with my PVR-150 plays back with no sync problems. Video material obtained elsewhere, using xvid, etc, also plays back with no sync issues.

I expected the HD-PVR's HD footage to be a problem due to the sheer size of the files. However, I didn't expect SD material to be a problem.

Is this because the HD-PVR stores SD material in the h.264 format, and THAT is what is causing the sync issues?

Do you mean lip sync?

There's a setting we added in V6.6 to workaround a problem where some streams generated by the HDPVR had incorrect timestamps in them that the transcoder didn't like. Try setting this in your Sage.properties file on the server:

xcode_fix_broken_hdpvr_streams=true

well, it may not always include lips, sometimes it involves hockey pucks - but yes, audio and video not in sync

and yes, I read this thread and inserted this code. sadly, no change.

Starchoice - a cdn satellite company - and a motorola unit, similar to the old zoom (?) systems

I am recording off a HDPVR connected to an HD box from DirecTV. On the HD200 everything is perfect. Same video on the placeshifter is a few seconds behind the audio.
