Multiple episodes in folder not shown?

I have the latest sage versions and updates and am using sage mc. I have folders for series with a seperate file for each episode but when viewed sage, it may label the folder with "10 items" for example, but when you click on it, you only see 1. What's the trick?

Is there anything problematic with having multiple video files in a single folder?

You're going to have to give us some more information to go on. (like OS, java version, SageTV version, SageMC version, phoenix jar version, plugins, etc.)

Aloha,
Mike

My setup:

OS: Win 7 Pro 32 bit
Java: 1.6
SageTV: 6.6.2.218
SageMC: 6.3.9a
SageMC Jar: 2.2
Phoenix Jar: 1.42
BMT: 3.1

So the problem is i have a folder with multiple episodes of a show each as separate mp4 files. SageMC only shows 1 of them when you click on the folder icon even though the folder icon is labeled with "10 items" which is correct.

BMT 3.1 introduced an incompatibility with SageMC that is fixed in the current pre-release. You can try loading it to see if that helps.

Aloha,
Mike

Ahh yes... much better. Loading the pre-release makes it all make sense again. Thanks so much for the help. I will note that it would be desirable to have formal support for series and episodes which IMDB supports, but am content with this.

thank you

I reinstalled sagetv and my entire install as before and can't seem to get back to where i was at with the pre-release to help me show multiple files within a folder. Here's my latest config (which looks a little different although i can't figure out what to load to get to match from earlier).

SageTV: V6.6.2.218
Java: 1.6.0_19
SageMC: 6.3.9b pre-release
sagemc.Jar: 6.3.8
df_sageutils.jar: 2.2
PhoenixJAR ver: <blank>
BMT: 3.1

Any ideas?

download and install the latest phoenix api. It should be in the download section. Alternately, you can upgrade to BMT 4.0 and that will include the latest phoenix.jar as well.

Aloha,
Mike
