Missing videos from My Videos... please help

I've been using SageMC for years now and just recently ran into an issue that has me scratching my head.

I record a lot of shows for my daughter (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Backyardigans, etc.) and then convert them. I had been converting them to MKV files for storage, but after purchasing an iPhone I've started converting them to MP4 format with the required settings to copy them to my iPhone and Zune players for trips and such.

My problem is that as I record episodes and convert them, I've been replacing the MKV files with the new MP4 files... and just noticed that they are not showing up in My Videos. If I look at the folder, it says I have 63 videos, but when I open the folder I only see around 20, for example. If I switch to the default STV, I can view all the videos.

So, last night I decided to update SageTV and SageMC to the latest pre-release (ver 21) but using that I can't view any files in My Videos. I've reverted back to the version that had been working since I started replacing files...

SageTV version - 6.6.2.218
SageMC version - 6.3.9a pre-release 41
Pheonix Jar - 1.44
Java Version - 1.6.0
sagemc.jar - 6.3.8

Is there a database that SageMC uses (that the default STV doesn't) that is not getting updated with the latest video information possibly? Something I might need to modify/reset? SageMC recognizes new MP4 files, just not the ones that have replaced existing MKV files....

You mean I'm not alone I've been searching the forums here to see if anyone else has been experiencing this issue, but had not seen anything....

Anyone got some of the newer pre-release versions of 6.3.9b SageMC (like version 17 or something) that I can try out and see if I get the video's listed? The pre-release thread only has the latest (.21) that doesn't let me access any videos at all...

have you tried viewing them from the default stv? even if you don't like it (though I really do), it would help to determine if it is a SageMC problem, or a database issue.

Yep, like I said in my first post, the default STV shows all the videos fine. That's why I know it has something to do with the SageMC STV. If I het a chance tonight I'm going to re-extract the SageMC files from 6.3.9a that I was using to see if they reset anything...

Sorry was out hiking for the day and couldn't type anything more. Yep, I have the exact same problem, more specifically the videos stored on my NAS (UNC paths?) don't show up in SageMC's folder view (I can see them if I dig through the other views) but they do show up in the default STV. I hadn't posted yet because I was going to do some debugging on Sunday.

I honestly don't think my problem was the same one that everyone else is having but it was definitely something similar.

I ripped one of the BDs that I have and realized that it only had an LPCM track. I just dropped it in my import folder and went to look in My Movies. It ended up showing in My Music. I found the problem being the sound was in .wav format. If I remember correctly, I just converted it to AC3 and called it good.

Anyways, I figured it was ironic that this popped up and figured it would be a good time to ask if that is normal or what?
