Talking HD200 + Wireless + WPA security

FYI: Maybe this can help someone.
I recently installed my SageTV HD200 and set my router to WPA (PSIK) with (what I thought was) a lowercase password, usig the numeric kepypad for entry. Sage would not connect (as close as 2-15 ft from router) unless I turned off security. Worked with Sage support for 2 weeks assuming network/router/Sage adapter problems. Installed latest Beta (for January 2010). Didn't help. They eventually told me HD200 is running Linux and I could Telnet into the box from my PC and I should send them a debug log. Log did not help. Then out of curiosity, I looked inside some of the Linux files and saw a file named: "wpa_supplicant.conf". It had my password in UPPERCASE.

I changed the router password to uppercase and Sage connected 1st time (after setting it back to use the wireless connection). Running beautifully. Now I have to learn how to use it.

I was having this same problem. As it turns out, you can set your wi-fi password entry screen on the HD200 to input lower case by pressing the "pause" button on the remote control.

Thanks for this tip as it works for the HD300 too & I have been scratching my head trying to figure out how to enter lower case characters. It's a pity that the on-screen display doesn't show this nugget as other keypad options are displayed.
