EPG over my laptop

For a lack of better place to post this, I will post it here. Is there a way for me to schedule programs to record from my laptop that I carry with me? I do a lot of racing in the summer and I am gone a lot and I would like a means to schedule a recording from my laptop from out on the road and have my server at home record them. I have a lot of favorites setup, but every once in a while I think of something I would like to record. Is there a EPG some where on the internet like my old PVR software had that I can access and setup a recording?
Thanks
Wayne

Use Placeshifter to administer your Sage server remotely, using the familiar SageTV UI.

Alternatively, set up one of the third-party webserver plugins and use that to schedule recordings from a browser. The mobile webserver lets you do it from your browser-enabled phone.

Thanks for the info on placeshifter. I downloaded it and installed it with no problems and it works for what I wanted to do with it. I had seen it listed but did not know what it was.
