HD100 Spinning wheel

I'm frequently seeing the spinning wheel on my HD100. It makes navigating painful at times. I'm wondering what can cause this and where I should start looking for a solution.

My guess would be that you have animations enabled on the HD100 and your server does not have the power to support it.

Does the issue occur while viewing videos? If so, then it probaby is a network problem. but if it only shows up during the UI, I would rule out the nrtwork.

Its most frequent when using the UI. Is the UI dependent on the server in some way?

I believe so, but don't know the details. I just recall that when animation was first added it caused a lot of issues for people with older systems.

The most common reason for UI sluggishness is running out of Java heap space. Look into the system information and see what the heap size values are. There are three numbers x/y/z. If they are all almost the same that's bad

You could also use my "Java Heap Monitor" import to see what's going on with the heap.

I've been having this problem too on my two HD100's but not my HD200. Are you using SageMC?

I'm using the latest beta v7 on a windows home server. I tried updating the heap size but the service wouldn't start, set it back to 0 still wouldn't start, rebooted still didn't start.

Then tried reinstalling v6 everything started fine with a larger heap size, stopped the service increased the heap a bit more and it started fine. But then I had no recordings and it appears the wiz.bin is corrupt (.corrupt0). Tried renaming the latest v7 wiz.bin and it keeps marking it corrupt.

So now I have a non-functional wiz.bin with v6 and the service won't start with v7.

Any idea?

You're not going to be able to run a v7 wiz.bin in a v6 installation. AFAIK.

Turns out my trial had expired, licensing it fixed the service issue.
