Hey folks. Did the "sort by filedate" quit working for anyone else with this latest Sage beta update? I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the plugin to no avail.

Under the STV section of the 7.1.7 beta notes they mention the following,

"4. Video Browser: can sort Folder view by filename or file date; can sort videos by title, title+date, date, or duration; can sort DVDs/BDs by title, title+date, or date."

I imagine that the sorting code might have changed in those views and jusjoken will have to adjust CVF.

JOrton is correct in that 7.1.7 beta has changed the approach for the sorting in these views. As the change is substantial enough I will not be able to correct CVF to work with BOTH 7.1.7+ as well as still work with the previous versions.

I assume you are trying to sort by Filedate in the FOLDER view. If so, then try the new built in 7.1.7 beta sort option for Filedate. When you bring up the Options panel you will see an entry called "Sort: Filename A-Z". select this and change it to "Up by date". The internal sort method used in the newer sort is different than the one I used by in a few minutes of testing it seems to return the same results.

Let me know if this works for you.

**** at some point I will remove my Sort function. Users of this plugin will need to let me know if the built in sort meets their needs or if I need to make some changes.

I get the same results as using your plugin compared to sage's built-in option. I don't know what kind of date it's sorting by, but it's neither the create or modified file date. So my files are not showing up the way they did before I installed the latest beta.

When I go to the folder through my PC and look at the files, the date modified and date created are correct. But SageTV is apparently NOT using either one of those sorting dates. This really sucks. I even tried disabling your plugin and it's the same.

Something weird is going on. It seems like movies that I've added the past year just aren't showing up. No wonder it seems like the sort by date doesn't work.

Right, so when I sort by Titles instead of Folders, then sort by date everything shows up properly. I don't get it . I need to sort by Folders so it looks cooler.

If the option to filter out watched video files is enabled files which are watched are hidden from view. However, if all the files in a folder are watched the folder will still be displayed with the (All) value next to watched instead of removing the folder from view. Could the option to remove fully watched folders from view be added?

This is a new feature in 1.20....

- better Diamond integration (works with or without Diamond 3.3+)
- With Diamond - turn on/off Fanart Thumbnails

Thanks for the update! However, I had to disable it Not sure if this is just me (we'll soon find out though I'm sure) but as soon as I updated, several of the text items that would normally appear in the upper left hand corner are now located in the lower left hand corner overlayed on top of the other text that is supposed to be there. For example, when viewing the guide, the description is now on the lower left along with the channel numbers and what is on... where this is supposed to be (upper left) is blank. I notice the same thing when viewing the recording schedule... the description stuff is shifted down into the lower section here too.

I've enabled and disabled it a couple times and everything is fixed when I disable it. I didn't notice this until I just updated. Running newest beta version of Sage and newest Diamond as well.

Anybody else notice this or do I have something funky with my setup?
