Will Channel logos in the guide be available?

Eventually. To some degree images lose their value when the space they occupy force them to be overly small, which is why they aren't there now.

Fair enough -

I guess I have found them useful since I have been on WMC forever. I have been using MyChannelLogos with it.

I don't even care about channel numbers... I browse the guide by Logos.

Is there anyway to add any 3D effects to the icons. SageTV icons always look so flant\bland.

There is but most stay away from them since extenders can't run them. I do t know what Phoenix is doing in that regard btw not speaking for them.

It's true that the extenders don't support 3D graphics, but you don't need 3D graphics to do what I think he is asking. You can certainly draw 2-dimensional graphics that look 3D-ish.

However, if you want to do fancy effects (such as rotating an image in three dimensional space), Plucky is right and the extenders can't handle it.

This is a one time call for private beta testers! The first 4 people I hear from shall receive the golden ticket!

We've already got a few, and they are so overwhelmingly positive that we need to broaden our test base

So... people should only apply if they don't like the screenshots?

For me. I love Phoenix, and Diamond, and Ortus.

The same reason i love iOS (shudder) and Android. Creativity, competition, others ideas, all leads to better products in the end.

<honesty>I hate iOS, but you get my point</honesty>

Same reason I love 3D TVs. The more 3D TVs flood the market (for which I have no interest), the cheaper the non-3D models will become.

or the more 3d tvs flood the market, the more ppl will realize how crappy the tech is, and we will come up with something actually useful.

Yeah, like the other 3 times 3d has tried and failed...if at first you don't succeed, try to see if people will still notice that you aren't trying very hard...
