does the hd-300 use the server gui?

I looked in the FAQ and it was not clear and I want to be absolutely sure before dropping 150$.

If I buy a HD-300, and connect it to my exisiting SageTV Server (beta), will the frontend interface be the same as what I already have on my SageTV server?

If so, all my problems are suddenly solved. I've been planning on stuffing a PC behind my new tv, and this is a far better option.

Yes, when connected to a SageTV server, you get the familiar SageTV UI, just like running Placeshifter on a PC. That's what it means to run it in Extender mode.

However running it in Player mode (which is the topic of this subforum) implies that you're using it as a standalone device, without a SageTV server. In that case you obviously get the player's own internal UI.
