Press Select on the video to get options for that specific video. Pressing 'Options' gives the options for the whole view itself (what you are seeing).

Lol.... I had the "Hide Options Menu when tuning a Live TV show" plugin turned on, which completely disabled the Options Menu for all videos.... I can now completely see what you're saying (double ).

But I digress; having the ability to convert DVD titles using a tool like MediaShrink with an awesome an seamless user interface within Sage as SMM presents would excellent!

So now that the whys and why-nots seems to be settled, here’s a question for you Plucky.

If a person were just starting to look into adding some kind of “fancy” scraper/metadata setup (just the title of the movie has always seemed to be good enough for me in the past) but wasn’t really pressed to have it right now, does it make sense to look at setting up SMM with MyMovies, or waiting a week/weeks/month for this something new that you are brewing up?

I’d just as soon not register to yet another website (I understand MyMovies makes you set up a free account with them) if I didn’t have to.

Enitrely your preference if you don't care about the advanced features of MyMovies then waiting would be the better idea.

What “advanced features” are you talking about? I just want better handling of genres, TV season box sets, etc. and the ability to pull in the Play On stuff. I don’t need movie posters or pictures of the actors popping up or anything like that.

How are you ripping your tv shows? when you say boxed sets right now MyMovies is the only thin that supports that. You can use folders though in the default view.

I just rip them disc1, disc2, disc3, etc. (don’t bother to pull out each individual episode) but it would be nice to have a folder with all those together, instead of having a listing of five or six different series all in a folder. But to be honest I need to do more investigating of the options available.

I find the multi disc support in SMM one of its best features.
