Can HD300 IR in be connected to Xantex IR distribution block?
Is it possible to go straight from a Xantech IR distribution block to the IR in jack of the HD300?

I don't know the specs of the Xantech device, but the HD300 IR pinout is in the FAQ.
That said, the safest option would be to use an IR emitter taped to the HD300's IR receiver, to avoid any issues of electrical incompatibility.

The reason I ask is I have a hd200 I am using but I am getting poor performance with stick on emmitters. I was using a cable visions product and recently switched to xantech with better but still not great results. Hoping that a direct connection would remove all issues.

Out of curiosity, I am using the Xantech 78944 distribution block and the 95 series microlink receiver (ML95K kit). Is anyone using this setup with a HD200 and what is your experience?

I have noticed that the power supply for the xantech systems should be carefully matched; too many mAmps and the emitters will be constantly lit and visa versa, won't flash bright enough.
Not sure how old your power supply is, but you could check there or ask xantech to find out if you are using the right one. They make a great product. |

I think I found my issue. With the lights off, I could see a dim light coming from the xantech tb. Apparently anywhere around by plasma is giving of IR interference. The led only goes completely off if the receiver is actually behind the TV (which is mounted on a wall) which means I need to bounce the IR signal behind the TV.
