How to setup with dvblogic tvsource?

I have seen that in one of the recent beta's support was added for dvblogic tuners.

I am currently using dvblogic's tvsource to use my dual dvb-s2 tuner in win7 MCE, and would like to try Sage7 out. I downloaded RC2 and went through the setup steps, but am not sure how to setup the tv device in the sage setup wizard.

I can see 4 dvblink capture devices in the device list, but when I select one and then enter my satellite details, nothing is found in a scan if I pick antenna or cable as an option.

How do I get my channels in from my dvblink setup?

can anyone advise what I am supposed to do to get this working -am sure I am just not following the right process, as with win MCE I need to run a wizard inside media center.

On Sage I dont know if I do a scan (it fails if I do), try to manually add a channel and give it a logical id (assumed channel number, but that doesnt tune to anything) or something else...

or is it simply that the full support is not yet implemented so it's sit and wait?

There's a utility you need to use in order to generate the FRQ file for DVBLogic to work properly in SageTV at this point. We won't have full DVBLogic support in V7.0, but I'll have one of the devs give you the utility that does the FRQ generation for now which should allow you to help us test it out.

Thanks Narflex - that would be great - would love to give this a proper test over the weekend - would also see if I could flush out any more bugs on that side whilst still in beta :0)

This utility is provided by DVBLogic to create a channel information file for sagetv mapping channel and create tuner frq file.
you should put the channel information file *.scn (DVBLink Capture #1-DVB-T.scn) into the sagetv folder, and go EPG Lineup setup to performance "channel scan", SageTV will load channel entry data from the *.scn file.
if you have an issue, post your native.log.

That utility (DVBLinkSageChannelExport) appears to be for v1 of DVBLink as there is also a version in the DVBLogic forums under the v1 subforum: http://www.dvblogic.com/phpBB3/viewt...hp?f=32&t=6256

When you try and run it with the latest version of DVBLink you get the following error:

Error. Unable to retrieve DVBLink installation path from registry. DVBLink Server is not installed?

working perfectly for me.

Will try DVBLogic's Server Network Pack next to see if this will make the HDPVR available to all computers as a network device... (EDIT) Working well also.
