This is on p. 7 of the manual that comes with the HD300 and in the FAQs:

Can I connect a keyboard or anything else to the USB ports?

I saw that - it says most USB keyboards will work.

I connected a Logitech Desktop EX110 (pretty basic keyboard) and it does nothing.

I power cycled and still nothing.

No evidence of whether it sees it or not...

Please advise on what to do..

Did you remove power completely from the HD300 or was it a warm reboot?

I have the same keyboard on my sage server. I just tried it on the HD300 and it didn't work on mine either. So it could be a compatibility issue.

If you're looking for a small/cheap one that works, I have this one and it works and is pretty decent. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823204016

I have a RII and it does indeed work. So does an Addesso wireless and even the DiNovo mini from Logitech. ( which I like the best ) I like it best because you can push the slider on the trackpad and make it a four position toggle. The RII just has the trackpad- so, that is a waste on the HD300. You are going to have to map some keys as well, for either the Rii or the DiNovo, say for instance the keypress for "next" on photos. there is no key for that.

The RII is really a nice little gadget and I like the backlight on it. The only thing that is a bit odd is when you pull out the dongle from the RII, to put it in the extender, it of course leaves a gaping hole in the top of the remote. I wish they had a little plastic plug that would slip in place of the dongle, to cover the hole up. Not a big deal. Also, just be aware that the RII has a laser in it. A little kid might turn it on while looking in the end- I don't know what would happen. I suppose nothing- but just thought I would mention it.

I just purchased the Rii Wireless keyboard in both the Bluetooth model and the RF model. (purchased from Amazon.com) Both of the ones I received came with a plastic dust cover that inserts back into that hole where the USB dongle was located. The USB dongle is actually fitted inside this plastic cover, so you pull both out of the keyboard as a single piece and then pull the dongle and cover apart and then put the now empty cover back into the hole in the keyboard.

Mine did not come with the dongle shown in this picture:

Mine came with a very tiny one fitted inside the cap, it looks more like this size:

The Bluetooth model does not work with my HD200, however the RF model does with with some issues. Please see this post for more details:
