USB drive attached popup (HD300)

Ok, I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to work so I thought I'd ask.

I plugged a USB drive into my extender (running in extender mode) and it didn't present a popup giving me the option to view files that were on the key. Is it supposed to?

I know my place shifter and clients do but this is my first extender. Also, I'm pretty sure it would work in standalone mode but I really want it to work in extender mode (helps having to explain it to the family).

From what I can tell, when the HD300 is running in extender mode, it's not doing anything locally and won't be able to access a drive you plug into the USB port. It's getting the interface and all of your content from the server.

If you plug it into your server, you'll get a pop up message.

Into the server? Ok, I'll try that. It would be nice to have it work on the device itself but I suppose if the server works then that's a possible workaround.
