BMT 4.8: Browse - Select movie title - Find Metadata...=Source=DVD Profiler
Sean, I think I know why I might be having some issues.
When I select Browse, and click on a movie that may (or may not have fanart/metadata), then select "Find Metadata...", the default source is DVD Profiler - (dvdprofiler). If I click on "Search", I get No Results ever time, no matter what the movie name is; even if it's been populated before. I have to manually change the source to IMDB for it to work. It's possible maybe this has something to to do with me switch to TMDB as the primary when IMDB broke in the last version. After I upgraded to the newer version I swapped back IMDB as the primary and TMDB as the secondary. Since BMT was defaulting to dvdprofiler (which doesnt work at all), I even went to the extent of deleting both IMDB and TMDB and re-entering them one at a time in the correct order. There isn't even a dvdprofiler listed in the databases to look at. I did noticed that when I delete all entries out of that list. If I add imdb, I noticed it goes second to an invisible mystery database provider that's just a black entry (as seen in the attached pic). I am able to delete this invisible entry, and still get imdb at the top and either have imdb at the top or also add tmdb. No matter what I do there, I still see it defaulting to dvdprofiler when I do a browse/metadata lookup for a movie. I dont remember this being the behavior in all previous releases. Is there something broken? Any way to fix it so IMDB is the default when doing a metadata lookup? Is that mytery/black entry supposed to be there? Where is this information stored? Maybe it needs to be fixed? EDIT: PS: I even uninstalled all plugins related to BMI/Phoenix (BMI webserver, BMI Command-line, Phoenix, Phoenix API). That didnt make a difference; maybe because the the place where its messed up (if it is messed up) is in the configuration for BMI somewhere. So is this normal to default to DVDProfiler and not find any results for any movies at all when doing a metadata lookup? Thanks for your help! Michael

Michael, there is a little bit of a disconnect between the web ui and those configuration settings.
Those settings are used by the automatic updater to know which provider to use for tv and movies. But in the web ui, when you do a lookup, it uses the value from the list. Now there was bug in previous versions, that probably worked better for you In previous versions, no matter what you selected in the list, it would search using the values configured for the automatic lookup. So, if your automatic lookup was configured to be imdb, but you selected tvdb from the list, it still used imdb. As of the last build, the search now uses what is selected from the list. It is on my list to default the list the selection to the values that are configured for tv and movies.

FYI - You are not the only person to notice that the search provider selection appears broken. I did take a look and it would seem that I got bitten by a gwt bug/feature. I fixed the issue, and I also added code that should auto select the list based on what you have configured as your defaults for TV and Movie providers.
I may have a release out sometime later in the week.

Sean, I was honestly expecting a reply back saying that there is something wrong with my configuration... like the old days. I'm still not quite used to yet with sageTV 7 plugins being so consistent for everyone (whether its a bug or feature). I'll look for the bug/feature change in the next release...
Thanks for the quick reply back! Michael Quote:

Hi,
I guess I have a problem around DVD Profiler I've updated my collection.xml with a few new DVD and I've tried to do a metadata lookup for a few of those. The lookup work great. However, I have an error which look like this: Code:
Unable to load image: file:////fileserver/public/DVD%20Profiler/Databases/Default/Images/619061370139.19f.jpg; This site may not permit other sites from embedding it's images. Is there something I missed? What should I try? Thank you. ehfortin |
