There is also an "Help" link on the toolbar to make it more obvious where to go for help. It just shows an about dialog that has links back to the forums, user guides, etc.

When you first install this release, you'll get a popup that make a point to reference the user guide. All this is done to bring more awareness to the newly created guide, for those that don't check the forums regularly. The popup will not present itself everytime, just everytime your upgrade.

This release has 2 visual changes that I was was working on. I hand't meant to actually deploy them, but I'm too lazy to re-deploy without them, so you'll notice the top banner is now, "greener". And, I've changed the default font.

Can anyone tell me what the default value is for custom_metadata_properties? I accidentally goofed mine up following the directions for SageTV 6.

From the Tools menu, you can use the Fix Custom Metadata Fields (i think it's called that), it was just added in this build. It should fix it up.

Hey Sean,

First off, this completely fixes my Original Airdate problems, so that's awesome. Secondly, I've got two new issues that popped up..

1. This release doesn't combine sage recording with imported media. If I have some episodes of a show as imported videos and others as sage recordings the show shows up twice in my TV (Sereies/Season) VFS list.
2. Probably releated, all of my TV thats an imported video is now showing up under Missing Metatdata VFS list and I re-scaning doesn't fix it.

Scratch that, the videos showing up as missing metadata are Sage Recordings, not imported videos.

The root of the issue appears to be the very small change that I did to the 'recordings' view. I decided to group it by series. But, because the view is consumed by other views (such as the missing metadata view), then those views show the grouped folders of the 'recordings' view. The quick fix is for me to remove the grouping on the 'recordings' view, but this exposes a flaw in the vfs that I need to fix as well.

This fix is in phoenix-core 2.3.8, which should be in the repository. BTW, the missing metadata view may still be screwed up... I noticed some inconsistencies in my environment, but I don't have time to look at it right now

No worries, these seem to be isolated to the VFS so right now the only thing really affected by them is my OCD

I'll test this out tonight. I'm assuming that the OAD bug was the reason why I didn't get any metadata for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. How do I get BMT to relookup the info for those shows. Refresh library never did that. That only finds new files. How do I do a mass refetch?

Just select a view that you want to update... and click find metadata... unfortunately, there isn't a "refresh" concept in bmt yet... I'm working on it, so for now, you'd have to do a normal scan, and select overwrite metadata.

I noticed that if I browse sage video Imports ... I used to be able to drill down the folders now it shows all the titles which is hard if you only want to just do a subfolder.

I've added bug. This is a side effect of the last change
