HD300 Component Video

I've tried looking around for an answer and haven't really found a good one yet, so I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem...

When trying to use the component video out (with component video selected on the hd300), the video is rather annoyingly dark and has a slight green tint to it (most noticable where black is displayed). Looks mostly ok otherwise but the general color quality is bad enough to keep me using composite video instead (HDMI isn't an option without buying new TV's) which looks fine.

This happens on all 3 HD300's I have and every TV. Is there just something wrong with the HD300's component out, or did I just get bad cables on all 3?

(I do use component video on the directv box we have and it works great, so not sure what the problem is)

since its analog, to check the cables, just switch the green with another color (at both ends) and see if the error moves. If it does, its the cable. If it doesnt, its the output.

I have an HD100 and an HD300. The component output is noticeably darker on the HD300. Enough so that I keep 2 different video presets on my tv (one with the brightness turned up a few notches) so I can switch settings when using each device. The HDMI also seems darker, but not as much of a difference.
