HD300 analog VGA output?

I'd like to temporarily use an old 15 pin analog VGA monitor.

Is this possible either thru the HDMI output and simple hardware adapters or from the component outputs and a suitable RCA to VGA adapter?

Not cheaply but it can be done. I don't know anything about it, but here is a device that will handle the conversion. The problem is it takes active circuitry to change the signal, it's not like HDMI/DVI where there the signaling is the same and the connectors are different.

For the price of a converter you could pick up an inexpensive LCD.
Just a thought.
