USB-UIRT

I hooked up the USB-UIRT and it does great on the controlling the SageTV app and I went through the source setup and chose the USB-UIRT as the blaster controller but it does not work. Any suggestion?

At least in my experience the USB-UIRT cannot be both a receiver for control and a blaster at the same time. I think it might have been a issue with running Sage as a service. If you run it as a app I think it will work but who wants to do that. I ended up using the USB-UIRT as the blaster and a old Microsoft MCE IR reciever to control sage.

You might want to reach out to the USB-UIRT folks and/or search these threads some more.

If I recall, read somewhere on the SageTV threads where you can get a beta driver from the USB-UIRT folks which will allow it to be both blaster/reciever.

Due to security contexts you can't access the USB-UIRT using a service and an application at the same time. See this thread for more info and the fix.
