I set-up my SageTV this weekend and have been very pleased with the experience but I’ve run into one issue that I can’t figure out. I selected my media drive to be imported and it imported all of my movies and pictures on that drive but my TV shows I recorded before moving to Sage (.ts, .tp, or .mkv files) are not in TV or Videos. I can browse to the folders using search but it would be nice if they were integrated.
For example: All of my media is on my G: drive, I have a movies folder and a TV folder (G:\Movies & G:\TV). I tried importing the G: drive and the G:\TV neither resulted in the shows being part of my library. What am I missing? |

I figured it out. I can't have the recording directory for Sage the same as my old recordings. Move my new Sage recordings to G:\Sage.

Now that I have my previously recorded shows displaying in the Video menu here is my next question (even though I kinds feel like I’m talking to myself :P). How do I get the TV shows to display in the TV menu? I am hoping to keep my movies in the Video menu and all my TV shows in the TV menu.

You'll need to install BMT. There is an option to import identified TV episodes into your regular recordings screen.

Thanks for the tip. I have SMM up and running but haven't looked at BMT.

A good method to use would be to import them using the web server. It's available as a plugin. I don't really know of another way. Are you coming from Windows Media Center?
Try this: http://babgvant.com/files/folders/sa...entry9734.aspx Remember to back up your wiz.bin file (typically located in your program files\sagetv\sagetv folder) edit: Or use BMT as wrems indicated above

I am going to install the TVExploer plug-in tonight. Will I have to remove my TV import folder from Sage so my TV shows stop showing-up under videos? |

Once they are TV shows, I think SageTV is smart enough to ignore them.
