Stop Dialog Auto Suppress?

Is it possible to have a user defined time where this dialog goes away?

It would be nice when one walks away from a show and comes back like an hour later only to see the above dialog. I'd rather that go away and the screensaver take over.

Is there an option to disable this playback options dialog?

I've found it to be an extra un-needed click to stop playback and resume the UI where I left off. I see its usefulness if one presses stop during the playback of a show, but if a show is let to run to its completion I don't see a need for it...

I personally don't delete many shows anymore and when I do it's after some time and accumulation so most of those options are useless to me. Plus, it will prevent others from accidentally deleting shows before everyone's seen them...

My screensaver takes over when that is displayed all the time.

If you don't use the screen just hit stop twice.

btl.

Most of the time it does work. It's just occasionally that it gets stuck and I'll come back and this screen will still be there hours later. Since I have my system to sleep after a timeout it causes my extender to crash. If the screensaver is running no problem it keeps my system up and active, but if the dialog is left there the server will go to sleep for inactivity.

That's why I think an option to turn off this dialog all together would be nice.

As I’ve previously stated, I think having the above screen on a toggle option for each user to choose the behavior would be nice... At the same time, I still think maybe another screen in place of the above screen as an option could be really awesome:

Not that the screen has to look like that... But some way to navigate/select episodes on-the-fly would be a nice optional screen IMO. Optional is the key word...

What do you guys think?

An option to disable the stop dialog is already done for the next update. I've also added a 1 minute time out to the stop dialog as well. I kind of like the next episode idea too. Let me think about that one a bit.

Aloha,
Mike

Thanks for the above stop dialog option. I really like that if the show is not interfered with that it goes back to the last screen. Perfect.

I’m wondering if it’s a possibility to have an option to retain the ability to hit stop during playback and get the multi-function stop dialog? Right now pressing stop exits without a dialog.

I didn't realize that removing the stop dialog that appears at the end of a file meant that the dialog would go away if one pressed stop during playback...

I should be able to do that, but it might not make it into the next release.
