Recording conflict when there is no conflict?

Recording conflict when there is no conflict? Why would there be conflicts on back to back recordings? Or even better when nothing else is recording on any tuner anywhere close to when the conflicted recordings take place?

1. Was there padding involved?
2. Do all the tuners have the same lineup and therefore another tuner should have been able to tune to the channel?

If 1 was No and 2 was Yes, then don't have a clue why you got conflict.

They are both no. One tuner with a single lineup. The only colossus I have. It was recording a 1hr episode with nothing before or after. Very strange. I just told sage to record it anyway so that fixed it. I hope that was a glitch and nothing more.

In my case, I had a recording set and I also got the conflict error. I have 4 tuners (HD HomeRun) and this was one show set to record.

I deleted and re-setup the tuners and hopefully that will correct the problem.

I noticed this behavior after the recent STV update. It cleared itself after a few minutes. One of my conflicts was at 4:15 in the morning with no other shows set to record.

Well, let's hope this will not be an ongoing problem!

One has to be able to trust recordings will happen! I am going to set some test recordings tonight that will tie up 3 of my tuners.....

I had this problem last year when trying to setup my HVR-2250 with both QAM and SVideo. Not sure what fixed it but I have upgraded my motherboard (then switched back), upgraded my OS, added a Colossus in place of HD-PVR, switched to HDHomerun then switched back to HVR-2250, reinstalled OS and SageTV several times. Some where along the way the problem stopped for me. Colossus and HVR-2250 - 4 tuners configured (only 3 show in parallel schedules menu). Can record 1 HDMI, 1 QAM and 1 SVideo or 1 HDMI & 2 QAM without conflicts like I was and you currently are getting. Since the SVideo and HDMI are from the same DirectTV STB I never get the 1:1:1 option unless I make a mistake but I get no conflicts reported.

I just ran a quick test.

Set 4 shows to record at the same time - 30 min shows. No issues... Will test further.
