Sage won't scan DVBlogic channels

Hi

I'm playing around with DVBlogic 3.2 to see if I should move to that. I followed Damian Flynn's excellent guide and managed to scan my DVB-S2 card and the preview works with VLC

However when I add the source in Sage (doesn't matter if I choose capture 1,2,3 or 4) it won't scan the one and only channel I configured int DVBlogic server setup. The only deviation from the guide is that I said no EPG as this is just a test at the moment.

Any ideas ? There doesn't seem to be much to the server config, you choose your channels and assign them channel numbers right

How else can I test the server setup ? Will a UPNP client do it ?

Thanks

It has been awhile, but I don't believe Sage scans the channel. The application builds a channel file which Sage uses to tune the channel.

I would start by looking at that file in a txt editor.

There is a step in DVBlink where you have to assign channel numbers and names, that has t be completed before running the application which brings the channels into Sage.

Ah yes, I missed you the step to generate the .frq file :-D

Serves me right for trying to short cut the procedure

Did you get this to work (DVBlogic 3.2)? I've been playing with it and have it working with VLC player but when I try and playback in Sage I only get a "No Signal" message.

Yes, what does your Frq file show for that channel? Is that channel mapped in DVBlogic to that channel number, etc...

Not had a long enough downtime window to try yet (I'm not getting up a 2am to do it)

I did actually get it to work but I noticed quick channel changes would cause a no tuner available message and channel changes took quite along time.

Gone back to using the tuners naitivly with Sage.... for now anyway.

I have 5 to 6 second channel changes in WMC (Live TV). I only use Sage for scheduled recordings and recording playback, so never had the no tuner found problem.
