Menu Manager Copy Mode Question

So I've set up several flows and decided I want to copy an item from the standard VIDEO menu (like PLAY DVD) to another part of the menu. I take Menu Manager into COPY mode and have it go to the MAIN MENU. I then go into the VIDEO menu, but all I see are the flows I created. None of the standard Sage selections are visible, even though they're present outside copy mode. I tried removing all the flows and resetting Gemstone. But then there are no items at all under VIDEO. I know I had access to copying these items in Gemstone before I installed any flows.

This is on an HD300, if that matters.

Is there a trick to this?

Thanks!

Bobby

Actually... you do not need copy mode for standard Sage menus... it's available to support non-standard plugin introduced menu items.

So for a standard menu... go into Menu Manager... scroll to the menu item in the list on the left.... press SELECT... select Edit and then select a different Parent... which will move the menu item.

I see that now. Thanks!

How about if I want to copy an item? Or can I create a new menu item and just manually copy the settings by just typing them in?

No real copy item function available... but creating new items in the Menu Manager is really pretty simple IMHO

I used the copy mode to copy the J river menu item from the default STV into Gemstone. I think that's its purpose, to copy screens that are non-standard.

Correct. All of the standard menu items are in jusjoken's listing to add already, but there is no way to add every plugin menu item to the list without going through every plugin and adding to the list. Some of the more popular plugin items were added to the list but the plugin must be installed to use them. Some are not so copy mode is the way to add them to the custom menu.
