I haven't been able to reproduce this - I always see the time bar whenever I do anything with the UI...

Can I just uninstall and reinstall Phoenix to try and get a 'fresh' copy of p2?

Yeah, that's always an option. I don't know if it will help - have you checked in P1 to see if you are getting the same behavior there?

I tried watching a ripped TV show yesterday and noticed that there was no obvious way to turn on subtitles (Sage doesn't automatically turn on forced subtitles for MKV files). Am I missing how to get at these?

Also, is there a way to show the watched icon for ripped/imported TV shows, but not imported movies?

Still loving P2.

Hitting the Options key while watching should bring up the options menu on the side, and if there's a subtitle available to toggle on I'd expect it to be there. I don't think this is working fully though - it might only show up on DVD / BD? I'll check.

In the Media Browser there should be an option under 'Customize This Screen' that determines where Watched icons show up.

Regarding the subtitles, it was a blu-ray rip of Game of Thrones to MKV via MakeMKV. Sage has never automatically showed the forced subtitles for these, so I have to turn them on for each episode. When I hit options, the side menu only showed the customize option. I had to temporarily revert back to the original Sage interface to turn these on, which is why I am sure the file had the forced subtitles.

Appears to be a bug with the music playback.
If I go to an album and then use the options menu (on right) to play the albums plays fine
If I navigate into the tracks of the album and then use the options menu to 'play this track' it works fine.
If I use the 'enter' key directly instead of the options menu then it appears to start playing the track but actually starts to play some TV show (think it is using LiveTV)

Thanks in advance.

So it's the 'enter' key when you browsed down to a track?

I like the horizontal view as it saves clicks - however there should be an indicator. Perhaps a carousel right/left arrow on the title (see attachment)

Right - trying it on a desktop client that has no remote attached currently. So I was using the standard SageTV keystrokes (control + key) and the standard keyboard keys.

Would it be possible to add an option to the TV Browser to 'automatically set as watched' when done...? I think that is the most common task performed after a show is watch and it is difficult to perform now without remembering to go to the options menu and select there.

What does it mean to 'use external player' on the TV Browser?
Does this allow me to put a Blu-ray (i.e Big Bang Theory) into a media folder and automatically play it from the Recorded Shows (assuming it is tagged/meta data as a TV show with BMT)?

Would it be possible to provide a mechanism to navigate to the weather screen (and back) without adding the weather to the Browser - navigate on demand?

I read that the link to the picture browser was left off accidentally... is there an easy way to enable that on our end before the next release?

(btw - very nice job on everything! )

Do you think there is any possibility of providing the 'cross' navigation? (equivalent of P2 vertical navigation but with a horizontal list of sub menu items without drilling in)... I think that one extra navigation item would really rock (know you are keeping it lean and mean)

Sage should be marking items as watched automatically, it's not something the media browser is responsible for.

By default the watched icon doesn't show, you need to enable it from the Customize This Screen option of the media browser.

External player is to use an external program (like VLC, TMT, PowerDVD) to watch BD and DVD. It depends on Fuzzy's plugin that is used in the default UI.

I'm adding this menu to LandingMenu_2a.xml in the next release:

Code:
<menu type="Picture" name="phoenix.menu.lz.memories" label="MEMORIES">
   <menuItem name="phoenix.menu.lz.memories.photos" label="Pictures" visible="true">
      <description>Browse the photo library (default UI)</description>
      <eval>AddGlobalContext("gCurCustomSTVFilePath", GetCurrentSTVFile() )</eval>
      <eval>AddGlobalContext("gTargetMenuName", "Browser - Photos")</eval>
      <eval>AddGlobalContext("gReloadCustomSTVOnHome", true)</eval>
      <eval>AddGlobalContext("gReloadCustomSTVWithoutConfirm", true)</eval>
      <eval>LoadSTVFile(GetDefaultSTVFile())</eval>
   </menuItem>
   <menuItem name="phoenix2.menu.lz.video.family" label="Family Videos" visible="true">
      <description>Family Videos</description>
      <eval>AddGlobalContext("DefaultView", "phoenix.view.default.homevideos" )</eval>
      <screen name="Media Browser" />
   </menuItem>
</menu>

The cross style navigation is cool, but I haven't wrapped my head around how to make it work :

1) in the same space that the menu is currently in and
2) with menu's of up to 3 levels

The Horizontal landing zone IS more or less the same concept - just navigating opposite planes than the cross style.

btl.
