Black Vette with SageTV7 plates

Who owns this? Saw it in Torrance, Ca. Did not have time to flag them down.

Maybe it was Bob Saget and that's his seventh Corvette. You know, Saget v7.

I'm guessing it was someone who might have gotten a large chunk of money in a buyout from Google..... ?

Yeah, that's Jeff's vette. sadly, purchased with the money from google's buyout, and the SageTV7 plate is just plain mean to everyone else.. :-)

Yup, that's mine...2012 C6 Convertible Grand Sport Centennial Edition.

I had a yellow 2001 Vette back when I started SageTV...then I had to sell it because I had no money anymore and my wife (gf back then) paid the rent for years until I could actually pull a salary from SageTV. This was my present to myself for all the hard work.

Yeah a '63 split rear window. Basically anything pre '67. I've never liked the looks of the newer Corvettes. Awesome cars, much more capable in almost ever measure than the early ones, I just prefer the looks of the old ones.

I actually like the newest ones but would still rather have a 67 Convertible.
The real problem with the new ones is there is no place to drive them. You have to go to track days to push it to its limits. Driving on the edge is the fun part.

When I was like, 20 years old (late 70s), I managed an auto parts store. The owner was a collector and had many cars. His "daily driver" was a 65 banana yellow convertible.

I was about to walk out the door to get lunch when I realize my car was in the shop across the street. So I was resigned to having someone grab lunch for me when he said, "Here, take the Vette" as he tossed me the keys.

I don't think he could even see me, the streak flying out the door. I ate in less than 5 minutes and spent the rest of my lunch hour driving.

That was a good day

I had a 73 Vette I restored. I bought it from a guy who had it in boxes all over his garage. I worked on while my future wife was working on her Masters. When we decided to get married I had to sale for a down payment on a house. I still cry a little when I see an older Vette. I just found this photo the other day and showed it to my girls they both said I should of kept the car instead of buying our house.

Jeff,
You should be proud of what you've done with SageTV - glad you are able to show it on a car that represents the sacrifices you made to make it happen.

I agree, but treat us well if/when Google tires of the SageTV initiative.
