Dish Network send me a tempting offer

For the past 10 years or so, I been using DirectTV and SageTV but today I got a mail offering me all sort of goodies including DVR that can skip commercial for a much lower price than I am paying for now on DirectTV.

Don't get me wrong I love SageTV but not sure what the future outcome is for SageTV and the offer seem tempting to have a DVR that I don't have to maintenance anymore. Currently I am using Colossus requiring nightly reboot and once awhile rare thou that a recording get messed up.

The monthly cost is way lower than DirectTV and I did call DirectTV to see if they want to counter offer to keep me and they said no.

Anyone here have positive experience swtiching from DirectTV to Dish Network and using Dish Network DVR with commercial skip feature?

Thank you for all your input on this post!

Bill

I want to say I thought the commercial skip on Dish only worked on network programming (ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX/etc)

I don't know how it works but I am glad you mentioned it so I will ask them when I call them to question them about the offer I got in mail.

Anyone here know if that true or it work on all networks?

Thank you

Bill

Just talked to Dish Network .. They wanted too much money. I knew the offer was too good to be true.

They wanted 12 dollar extra a month for Hopper DVR and 7 dollar extra a month for each Joey.

Thank you to those who shared their inputs..
