Cool, thats all good to know especially about the settings. The stand definetly makes a big differeance. I have my Forza wheel (Fanatec CSR) mounted and with the FFB set to 100% you definetly need a mount.

Yeah, I thought I was crazy when I bought the CRS wheel and the "cheap" pedals, but now the only thing available is $100 more then that and it's not evan the really nice sim grade wheel. - And yes, "I guess that's the price you pay to be an early adopter" is a very true statement.

I will most likely give in and try the Madcatz wheel out, and like you have something for when friends come over, should Fanatec release a new wheel.

On a side note, what about the Club Sport Pedals makes them worth $250, they don't have FFB for pedals do they?

There is Vibration on the brake, though on the 360 I think it was "static" (as in you adjust it to vibrate at a certain position/force on the pedal), but it sounds like on the PC it's real feedback.

As far as the price goes, I think they're "only" $100 more than the regular ones, at least if you get it all at once.

The things you learn when you actually read the info on them ... Thanks.

Yeah, I paid for the middle tier ones, forget what they are called. Metal, but no feedback. I never tried them on a PC, only the 360 and PS3. GT6 is pretty awesome as well.

Yeah, I think I just went with the old, if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing when I ordered my Fanatec GT2, so I got the CSPs.

You know, if GT6 were for the PS4, I might have actually got a PS4 this gen instead of an Xbox One, but since there was no good racing games for the PS4 I just stuck with Forza.

I usally go with that myself, or so I ahve been told ...

I know I will end up with both again, it's just a matter of time. But htis time I am going to order the full monte from Fanatec, I am not going to stop at the Wheel again with basic pedals.

I think it is a bit odd that GT6 is PS3 only. It won't stop me from getting the game, but will delay me getting a PS4. I'm not an early adopter anyway so it's not like I pre-ordered a PS4 and was going to be disappointed.

I thought the same thing, my game will be here on Monday

Smart man - I know your a PS guy, but the Xbox One in my opinion was rushed to market and is not very good fior anything other then gameing as they are trying to push it in there release promo's.

I mean I picked it up for gameing, but man it needs some work in the other areas like playing BD's and DLNA, which really isn't supported as yet.

I just came across this press release for a wheel "T100" by thrustmaster for $149.99, but the $400 wheel "TX" seems to be the only one available. Did you get the "TX"?

Yeah, I've got the 458 Italia wheel, the TX. The one you linked says it's for the PC and PS3.

Man they are still releasing stuff for hte PS3 as if the PS4 didn't exist yet. Strange, the 360 add-ons all but disapeared when th eXbone was released. strange.

So how is it compared to the using just the controller, is there a lot of over steer like when using the controller? I find the controller stick to be almost un-usable.

Well it seems they didn't change the interface/protocol for the PS4, and on top of that it seems like the PS3 just uses standard Bluetooth or something for their controllers. I mean all the Fanatec wheels support PC and PS3, even the Xbox ones. It seems like if you make a wheel PC compatible, the PS3 is just "free" or near it.

On top of that there aren't any good racing games for the PS4 yet, and GT6 just came out (or is it about too, I haven't paid attention) so it makes sense to get a little "kick" tagging along with GT6.

It's way better. I got decent with the pad waiting for the wheel to show, but the wheel is so much better. I don't know how people drive with pads (well I mean I guess I do, but without a wheel I probably wouldn't play).

Yep, GT6 just got released (12/6) and mine should be delivered today, I'll let you know

Yeah, that's how I look at it, just not using it untill my thrustmaster arrives. I couldn't wait fo rhte Madcatz or Fanatec. So I guess I end up with two at some point as well. Thanks for the update.

I thought I would post my experience with the Xbox One as a media device.

I have used the Xbox360 for watching Netflix , HBOgo and Amazon for quite a while now. The new Xbox One Netflix and Amazon apps are just as good and the Xbox360 versions but with better voice recognition. There is no HBOgo app as yet. Also: as most people know there is no Media Center support with the Xbox One.

There is a way to play ripped movies with on the Xbox one if you have Windows 8. Butyou are not able initiate playback of your media files from the Xbox One. You have to start streaming the ripped content from the Windows 8 PC. Once started you can pause fast forward etc. The picture looks good but not being able to initiate playback from the Xbox One is a Major issue. The streaming works for both Videos and Music.

I setup the Xbox One HDMI pass-thru with my HTPC. My HTPC has SageTV and is controlled by an MCE remote using EventGhost. In the Xbox One I setup it up as DirectTV with Microsoft as the cable box. Because my HTPC uses the Microsoft MCE receiver I am actually able to control some of the TV functions with the Kinect voice commands. Realistically you still need the remote to navigate around the SageTV interface but things like play, pause, skip forward and back all work. I changed the fast forward and rewind commands in Event Ghost to be the right and left arrow keys. That gives me the ability to navigate the comskip marks with voice commands. Live TV kinda works but only if it is already on. The Xbox One essentially sends just the channel number via the MCE receiver but unless Live TV is already running the SageTV interface just brings up a search box. Mute, Volume Up and Volume Down all work as voice commands as well.

All in all SageTV and the Netflix and Amazon apps work great in the Xbox One. Some of the other media functions still need work but I suspect there will be some Xbox One apps that will improve things over time. I do like having the basic voice commands working in SageTV as well.

You can do the same w/Win7 but you need to add the Xbone as a device and then inside WMP select play to that device. Really stupid IMO. Why would MS release a NEW product with less support then an existing much older one ...

That's pretty cool, I haven't set that up as yet. I am using 7MC so I expect it will have full integration, but that remains to be seen.

OK, I've been wondering, what's the point of running Sage (or anything frankly) through the Xbone? I've never given a second thought to hooking anything up to the Xbone input, I've just not seen the point.

I agree with you and that is why I haven't as yet. I too don't see the point of it.

But most are using the kinects voice control to operate things, it was designed to work with cable boxes at first, but as it turns out they actually support their own WMC as well. Take a look at the AVS thread on it, there is alot of voice issues from people doing just that.

i got an XBone a few days ago and i am very disappointed that there are almost no Kinect games. I find them great for kids - my kids like the dancing games and the Disneyland Adventures. I hope these get updated since the Kinect on the Xbone seems so much better, but i personally am having trouble with some of the gestures like the grab and pull.
