Eventghost and SageTV receiving IR

I have an MCE USB IR Receiver that I'm trying to use with a SageTV client, and, for configuration purposes I want to use EventGhost to handle the IR commands with the SageTV plugin.

If SageTV has focus, it repeats the command, since SageTV and EventGhost are both active. So the up arrow goes up twice instead of once, for example.

I have changed the "Detailed Setup->Commands->Remote Control Configuration" to "None Selected or External Setup" but that didn't seem to work.

Is it possible to get a SageTV client to ignore the MCE IR commands?

And I thought about unlinking all the commands from the codes, but I have another MCE remote I use on a placeshifter client. Will that unlinking be specific to that client, or will it unlink the MCE code from all clients/placeshifters?

Thanks.

Do you have Sage setup to accept MCE remote commands? If so, turn that off. Set it to none.

Is that the same thing as this?

I have changed the "Detailed Setup->Commands->Remote Control Configuration" to "None Selected or External Setup" but that didn't seem to work.

as I said above? Or is there somewhere else to do that?

Thanks.

Yes, that is it. Sorry, I blew through your post a bit quickly. Not sure what else I can suggest.

I had this issue with my Harmony remote. Is that what you're using? If so, I believe what I did was slow down the sending of commands from the remote. You do this in the Harmony software, but I don't recall exactly where it is.

Sage will automatically respond to the direction keys because most MCE remotes emulate the keyboard direction keys, so no need to map them for sage.
