HotKey: Setup | Scan Imported Media?

I'm looking through Setup | Detailed Setup | Commands | Link Infrared/Keystroke to SageTV Command, but can't find anything for Scan Imported Media.

End Game would be to sit in Main Menu | Movies, press a key or keycombination, and kick off the "Scan Imported Media" process without having to back out to Main, go to Setup, and navigate to Scan Imported....

I'm seeing choices like "Custom1", "Custom2", and so-forth...

Is there any hope for doing this?

I don't see any way to do that within Sage. It might be possible via one of the APIs, though. The easiest way I can think of would be to use something like EventGhost and assign a sequence of events to a button on your remote. It would need to be repeatable from wherever you are in Sage, so the first command would be to take you to the home screen. Then, have EG issue the arrow and select commands until they bring you to the scan imported media option you're looking for.

If you use the webserver and you can use wget and anything that can run a command by pressing a button. Eventghost etc...
Code:
C:\SJQNEW\wget\wget.exe --delete-after --tries=3 --directory-prefix="C:\SJQNEW\wget" "http://username:password@servername:8080/sage/GlobalCommand?command=UpdateMediaLibrary"

Is there a way to have a remote button to toggle the subtitles on/off using an HD Extender?

There is a plugin Closed Caption & Subtitles (if I recall) that might do the trick for you.
Think it does it on mute but might be able to do for other keys maybe.
