I believe the encoding server method supports auto detection and scanning, basically everything native tuners support.

Again, IIRC.
FYI, we use the network encoder system exclusively in the Google Fiber TV implementation. (although they both run on the same device)

And yes...there's more in there than we published before...soon you shall all see.

Man, I haven't been here for the last 4 years (You last visited: 08-02-2011 at 05:52 PM) since it was bought by Google and just happened to visit tonight. Great timing with the open sourcing!!! Can't wait to crack it open.

How can we get instantly notified When OpenSource is released with Windows Installer?

Narflex, what thread would I need to subscribe to, in order to be immediately notified when the open source SageTV is ready to be released with a windows installer?

This trial release requires a License key:

http://download.sage.tv/SageTV_V7_1_9Setup.exe

How can we get instantly notified When OpenSource is released with Windows Installer?

There's no specific thread...I personally don't plan to build a Windows installer, but I'm fairly sure others are looking into it currently. Just check this forum regularly.

Thank you Narflex, for some reason during channel setup/scanning for channels.

The SageTV program http://download.sage.tv/SageTV_V7_1_9Setup.exe is not able to find any OTA digital channels for the Hauppage HVR-1600/WINTV 418 TS Capture Digital TV Tuner.

Is the Sage server causing this? The trial edition worked in 2014. However, Windows Media Center works perfectly for scanning & finding channels. Which forum do you recommend I post this question or problem in to solve this?

I followed these instructions last weekend and was successful in setting up a main HTPC as a server, another machine as a client and my laptop as a client and a placeshifter. Everything you need is in these instructions.

Note that some of the plugins are not compatible with Java 8. To make it to work I needed to install 32-bit Java SE Runtime Environment (7u80) from here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/ja...s-1880261.html
