Network Encoder and "There was a problem setting up software audio compression"

Howdy,

I am attempting to utilize a network encoder for my HD-PVR under Linux (Ubuntu 16.04LTS), with the main server also running Ubuntu 16.04LTS (a guest VM). I have hit an issue when the main server calls the encoding server for data:

Code:
Sun 4/16 9:12:19.766 [EncodingServerConn@7b187f5f] V4L: setup encoding stv://192639867@192.168.1.6//var/media/tv/HauppaugeHDPVR00A3D884on192168146969Component-0.mpgbuf

Sun 4/16 9:12:19.766 [EncodingServerConn@7b187f5f] Error with EncodingServer socket:sage.EncodingException: ERROR (358,0x2): There was a problem setting up software audio compression.
Sun 4/16 9:12:19.767 [EncodingServerConn@7b187f5f] sage.EncodingException: ERROR (358,0x2): There was a problem setting up software audio compression.
Sun 4/16 9:12:19.767 [EncodingServerConn@7b187f5f] 	at sage.IVTVCaptureDevice.setupEncoding0(Native Method)
Sun 4/16 9:12:19.767 [EncodingServerConn@7b187f5f] 	at sage.IVTVCaptureDevice.startEncoding(IVTVCaptureDevice.java:318)
Sun 4/16 9:12:19.767 [EncodingServerConn@7b187f5f] 	at sage.EncodingServer$EncodingServerConnection.run(EncodingServer.java:353)
Sun 4/16 9:12:19.767 [EncodingServerConn@7b187f5f] 	at sage.Pooler$PooledThread.run(Pooler.java:253)
Strangely enough I do not get this error when I connect to the encoding server directly and preview channels, so the V4L setup is working on that install, just not when it's trying to send the data as an encoding server. Anyone have any quick thoughts as to what could cause that particular error? I have switched between SPDIF and Analog for audio, and have combed over libraries to attempt to make sure I have dependences properly installed... Quite possible I have missed out however. The encoding server is 9.0.14 and the main server is 9.0.9.

thx

/jer

Streaming from a linux encoding server to another SageTV server was never implemented. You'll need to turn that off by setting this in Sage.properties on the encoding server:

encoding_server_uploading=false

Then you'll need to make sure the file paths accessible on the encoding server match that on your SageTV server (via a network mount).

I got this error tonight on my V9 server which is running on unRAID. I wasn't using a network encoder, just my regular HD-PVRs connected via USB. This was fixed by a restart of the docker container. I have seen this before on unRAID - does anyone else ever get this?
