Where is the bottom diskspace bar?

I have the diskspace bar at the bottom on my V7 Gemstone win server version..

I can't seem to get it to display on my V9 linux server version.

As soon as I load Gemstone, it disappears.
I can enable the diskspace widget, but I like it on the bottom.
Am I missing a setting somewhere?
