Post SageTV miniclient + MiBox 4s - best configuration?

Hiya -- so today I replaced one of my HD300s (with shaky, unreliable usb wi-fi dongle) with a MiBox. Once I got it installed, I quickly realized that the video playback was slightly choppy. Not choppy like freezing, but like it was playing back at a lower framerate.

My question is how to best configure this box for sagetv? Should I use exoplayer, or the default one? Should I have the mibox run at 720p instead of 1080p? Passthrough audio or not?

Is there a guide somehow that I could follow? I have a HDHomeRun prime and my recordings are mpeg2 transport streams.

Thanks!

I use the default player and a USB Ethernet adapter. Playback is perfectly smooth and skip FWD/REW are instant. So far working very well for me. Also use the setting 'Terminate on Pause' to avoid odd behavior when coming back from sleep or switching apps.

DigiDad: What is your remote control solution?

I just use the MiBox remote. If you long press the center button it displays onscreen playback controls. Left & right skip back & forth. Family finds it easy enough.
