OTA tuner options

With Silicondust basically killing their own [economical] Quatro (HDHR5-4US) tuner, what other tuners are currently available that we can use with SageTV?

I thought the "connect" part was the streaming service they wanted to add that got halted. The OTA device itself has no reason to die just yet. In fact this post inspired me to finally buy one to supplement/replace the 10 year old dual tuner version that has never let us down.

It's getting difficult to find them anymore. They do seem to carry the newer ones with the hard drive in them, but I can't see the need for that extra $100 as a Sage user.

Maybe they are quietly discontinuing them, maybe they are just having trouble sourcing parts, I don't know. It's happened with the Prime, too, except their is no successor to the Prime.

Is anyone using one of the hard drive versions (like the Scribe Quarto) just as a basic tuner with Sage, without using the Scribe features? Is that possible?

Well that was quick. I received the new Quatro this morning (2 days after ordering) and it’s all set up. Now what to do with the dual. My in-laws maybe could use a setup but I’m not sure if I want to go down that road as they’re in their 80’s and not very tech savvy.

Happauge has a network tuner too

https://www.hauppauge.com/pages/prod...dcuttertv.html Can't vouch for it & it is only a dual version. I know Hauppauge wants to become a major player in this segment of the market again. I have always liked Hauppauge products. Maybe they will make a quad version too? If this model works well with plex dvr they can increase their sales. It can give Silicon Dust a run for the money. I want to test one for the wifi capacity so don't need to work around ethernet wiring issues I hope this can interface with OpenDCT so can be used with main server.
