SageTV Beta Updates (Notifications only)
About the only update there is to give at the moment is that v3 is currently in the private beta process. Just about every release goes to the private beta group first to check for anything that has to be fixed before a wider, public, release. Once the results of the private release are satisfactory, a public beta will be released... which should be 'soon', but there is no way I'm going to promise any particular date.
I am not at liberty to discuss the exact features that will be in the initial public beta release. Those features will be listed as they become available to the user; just like the release date, I'm not going to promise specific features in case such features change for whatever reason. In the meantime, we will continue working on improving the product. Forum members can subscribe to this topic in order to receive email notifications of new beta versions. Use "Subscribe to this Thread" under "Thread Tools", just above the first post on this page. - Andy

Getting Closer...
The V3 private beta continues to advance. As it currently stands, the plan is to release the current beta publicly by the end of the week, provided that no major show-stopping bugs are discovered. On the off-chance that something like that is found, the release could be delayed. So, while there are no guarantees, the public release is much closer.
I'm still not at liberty to discuss V3 features, but those will be listed as soon as the beta is released. And, of course, development will continue throughout the public beta period as well. Thanks for your patience as the beta progresses. Edit: It looks like a disscussion was started here. - Andy

The v3 beta is now closed. In case you aren't aware, version 3 has been cancelled.

I recently found out that no one can subscribe to this thread because it was closed, but people would like to subscribe to it in order to get an email notification when a beta is released.
Since the forum software doesn't currently allow subscribing to closed threads, I'll open this one again. However, this topic is intended to be used only for posting updates about the latest betas, so please do not post questions or comments here... any replies in this thread will earn an honorary post deletion.  - Andy
