You can have the Dynamic menus look exactly like the default. (And I'm not laughing) One of the purposes of Dynamic menu was to keep you from having to be a programmer to change the way Sage looks and to avoid having to try to use Studio which usually ends up being harder than it looks to a typical end user.

So if you install Dynamic menus right-click on the menus you don't want, choose to delete and then right-click and save it. Now you can clear out the paths for any of the icons and save it and then uncheck the options that show the upcoming recordings and the disk space gadget. Now it should look exactly like the default.

Where the ease of use comes in would have been for your Movietimes install. Instead of using Studio you would have right-clicked and choose new menu, scroll thru a list until you saw Movietimes Main and then clicked on it. Give it any menu name you wanted and then saved it. Dynamic Menus opens the door to a lot of cosmetic changes and just makes some other plugins that much easier to set up.

I think I was thrown at first by the fact that the screen shots are from an older version of Sage and thus look different anyway. I did not realize that (from what you say) the base "look" is the same as default Sage.

What does "clear out the paths for any of the icons..." require/mean?

Outside of that, if I disabled the recordings/disk space bars at the bottom, does the menu look exactly the same (including the blue background with the "waves" through it)?

Perhaps we should take this discussion to the "dynamic menus" thread?

In the screen shot every menu choice has an icon that shows up in the lower right corner. If you don't want that, in the settings of Dynamic Menus you would remove the path to the icon graphic.

We can. But you might want to download and install it on one of your PC clients and go thru it to understand what it does and how you can change it.
