picture issue at top of image

Hello, I have a pair of PVR-250 tuners that I moved from my old Sage server, into a new one.

I'm experiencing a problem with recordings from these tuners. Oddly, I didn't see this problem on the old Sage server, but I do see the problem on the new one, even with recordings that were made from the old server. I also see the problem (on new or old recordings) when I view them via Windows Media Player on other computers.

The problem is a bit hard to describe - at the top of the image, running all the way across, is a white line with black spots in it, and the spots move around. Not like static, but more like an overscan issue. I'm wondering if my old Sage server was configured so that this didn't show (i.e., it was positioned off the top of the screen or something).

Any suggestions on where to start looking to remove this from future recordings?

Thanks!

Thats the CC data that is normally outside the viewable area on a TV screen. Go to Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Multimedia -> Aspect Ratio Settings to change the vertical offset & stretch to put it back outside your viewable area.

Video adjustment issue.

I wish I could have titled this better, but could not think of the words.

Basically, all of my recordings on all 3 tuners (PVR-150s) have a very very thin 1-2 pixel bar at the very top of the picture that is distorted (ie wiggles, odd colors, static, etc).

Basically, it is that very small region that usually extends beyond the monitor range so it is never visible (anyone with a digital camcorder might know what I'm talking about). I have tried adjusting the overscan settings, but no matter how much I push the gui beyond the TV boundaries to try to hide that area, sage adjusts so the video is always at the same bounds and it is still there..

Basically, I need to shift the video output on the screen up 1-2 pixels. Not the entire sage GUI.

Is there some fine tuning adjustment to take care of this?

Yes, just adjust the aspect ratio settings in sage...
I think I have it on 102%zoom and offset up +1.
Sorry, I dont have it here so I cant be more specific.

See above; I merged this with the most recent question on the same topic.
