Conexant 2388x MPEG problem with SageTV
I have a Conexant 2388x (MT-002) tuner/radio card, and according to the specs, it does have MPEG decoding, but for some reason, when I try to select the tuner input, SageTV media center 6, keeps showing this error:-
"There was a capture error in playback. Details: ERROR (-6,0x80004005): There was a problem setting up hardware video compression. Please be sure you have the latest drivers installed for your capture device, and they are installed correctly." Is there a way that I can edit a file somewhere to set SageTV to use a software decoder?, because for some reason, SageTV displays the right card details, but doesn't know the card does have MPEG decoding. I have to end task SageTV because it hangs on trying to create a video preview, when I click on 'OK' to close the error.
