Actually, I've always looked at myself the other way around - I was a game programmer (3 published titles of my own + other credits) long before I heard of online forums.
... which would be ... ?

Well, I didn't intend for that to change the topic, but... I created Solitaire's Journey (almost 100,000 sold) and Mega Solitaire (the first solitaire games w/more than 100, then 200, solitaire games, though I never cared for the "Mega" part of the title) and programmed The Perfect General II. I worked on various other games up until I started working on SageTV, including some assistance on a horrible paint ball game (the paint balls looked like they fired from their feet for a while during development... armed with 'missile toes', I suppose) and some hunting games that were probably among the best in their class, if you like that sort of game.

I only programmed TPG II, so if you played the original, that was someone else.

Yup, that was the box cover. I think I still have a few laying on a shelf somewhere. Did you actually play it, or did you just find the cover art on that site?

I preferred my solitaire games. Every once in a while, I still hear from people looking for another copy... which isn't too bad considering it was published in 1998.

It should be obvious, but I decided to move this out of the other thread, since it was a bit off-topic there. Of course, now it probably won't continue any more.

Andy,

So I have to ask...

Have you ever thought about writing any casual/solitaire game plugins for SageTV?

There were a couple of games on TiVo that were fun to play when I had a few minutes to waste. That is before I finally pulled the plug on that box for good.

Aloha,
Mike

I assumed they chose to use Andy's Pic in the cover art, dressed as the General.
