USB2 enough?

I am currently looking to get some external storage just for my archived DVD collection. I would like to go with an Esata raid box i found on Newegg, but it's 200+ for a 5 bay solution. My question is. If I just get a 2 bay external enclosure (50-70$) and add both drives as import directories will the USB2 speeds be enough to stream DVD's to my HD Extender? Regular DVD's, not re-encoded or anything and that will be the only functions of the drives they won't be sued for recordings or music or anything else.

Seeing as how I've recently added a USB2.0 external drive and streamed HD content from it w/o a hitch. I'm confident in saying USB2.0 won't limit your standard DVD play back.

Now if you're streaming off that HDD to multiple clients at once I can't tell you where the limit is.

I have zero problems streaming to one client from a seagate usb drive I also use for OS drive backups. just have to wait on it to spin up if I select a DVD residing on it. haven't tried 2 at once since I got the 2nd extender.
