Here's the quick list of questions:
  1. Are you running a Mac with an Intel processor? G4/G5 not supported.
  2. Darwine was placed in /Applications?
  3. Comskip was placed in /Applications/Utilities?

It sounds like you're running on Tiger, I have not tested on this so I can look at how I am compiling as well.

Hi!

(1) Yes, running Tiger 10.4.8 on an Intel processor. Works perfectly with Hugo's firewire encoder, don't really want to put Leopard on the machine, but might try it if ComChecker doesn't like Tiger.

(2) Yes, Darwine in /Applications

(3) Initially no, Comskip was in /Applications. Later moved to /Applications/Utilities, with no effect on anything.

soccerdad - Sorry for the delay. I needed to change to the 10.4 SDK libraries to build.

If this doesn't work for you, I am afraid I don't have a machine which is Intel based and is old enough to run Tiger.

Please let me know how this pans out.

WOW, thank you for compiling a new version bcjenkins. Looks good, the comchecker statusbox appears and clicking on options brings up comchecker.prefs in TextEdit.
