SageTv with tmpg dvd author long output time ?
We are using SageTv and authoring with DVD Author tmpg which we just purchased. The output time is 1 hour 45 min. for 2 1/2 hours of video. We set SageTV to fair and DVD author to max. Our capture card is the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 1800 hybrid video recorder Media Center Kit with PVR hardware encoding technology.
Why is it taking so long? We think something is set wrong. The computer was just purchased from Best Buy with everything it needs to do the job. In fact we were using Windows Media Center until we ran into problems and switched to the trial of SageTV. With WMC I could author and burn a dvd with 2 1/2 hours in under 20 min. Would someone please list how we should set up Sage and DVD Author for maximum output and burn time? Thanks!
