Wow BTL, it looks really nice! Now I can't make up mind if I want this one or the AMG guide. I wish I could have both

Thanks - what you want is the next one I'm working on - don't know what I'm gonna call it yet, but it's a mix between the two!

Great work bialio

I really like your alternative guides

Edit: Is their any chance the channel logo image could be made smaller.

Many Thanks

I think the channel logo is fine. Don't forget about those of us with smaller screens!

On the other hand, there's nothing that says the 3 panes couldn't have a sizing option...

Looks great! I cant wait to try this out. Where are you getting your icons from, or what size did you use? Does not appear that the icon is one of Randy's (squareeyes' Harmony) icons.

Most if not all of my icons are from the ones that were reposted in the Downloads section a few months ago. I downloaded all 7 or 8 of the zips and found pretty much everything I wanted.

I'm trying to set this up on a client PC and can't seem to get it working. Is there anything in the logs that would help me troubleshoot?

There might be but I've never looked at logs before

When you say "not working" what exactly do you mean? Have you ever had an alternate miniguide working?

After looking at your screen shot from above I realised I could add a transparent border to channel logo's. This has solved my issue of the images looking too big.

This is my favorite mini guide so far

Cheers

I really like it too. I hacked around with the XML before importing it to remove the channel number (I prefer to just have the logo) and to increase the translucency of the black background.

I'd like to figure out how to get SageMC's OSD to match now

Yea I've also been trying to get my Sagemc OSD to match the color of the mini guide.

Maybe someone else has an idea on how to achieve this

I had a poke around and its complex I think the colour property may be inherited from the theme (which makes sense as the themes have different colour OSDs)

I think Bialio mentioned on a previous thread that he was talking to the SageMC devs about getting this integrated so it may then become more configurable

Just FYI - you can adjust the transparency from the option menu now. That's the main change from the original one I posted on the ScreenShot thread and version 1.1.

Maybe I'm doing this wrong. Here's what I'm doing:
I import SageMC16x9 just in case
I then import the simple miniguide 1.1
I go to LiveTV and open up the mini guide and I still see the typical one - not your simple miniguide.

Any ideas?

Any chance you'd consider spinning this for the default STV? Rather, maybe modifying the current jbl miniguide to support the same UI treatment?

Forgot to mention that I did go into SageMC settings and make sure it had STVi set for miniguide.

If you are still seeing the normal mini-guide then the only thing I can think is that this step in the setup is not happening :

* in SageMC, goto My Menu -> Settings -> SageMC -> Main -> Screen Specific options -> Video OSD -> Miniguide Style :
* select "External STVi"

do either you are missing this step or when you do this step something is going wrong.....
